Guillermo (also known as Gui) is a transplant in the desert. He originally hails from Venezuela, moving to Puerto Rico to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering and then, New York, which was his home for 15 years. Settling into Palm Springs, Gui wanted to plant roots and reached out in his community to find a place where he could volunteer and perhaps put his bilingual skills to good use. Gui came to the Center with an open heart and mind initially as Program Coordinator hoping to share the skills he honed while working in corporate America at Coca-Cola but this time working with others for the greater good of the LGBTQ community.
