Miguel Navarro joined The Center in October 2013. He first volunteered as a facilitator for The Anti-Bullying/Suicide Prevention workshops taught to ninth grade students in The Palm Springs Unified School District. He then became The Executive Assistant to the CEO of The Center in August 2016. Miguel grew up in Oxnard, California and then moved to The Bay Area for college. He received his BA in 2005 from The University of California, Berkeley and later received his second degree in Accounting at College of the Desert in 2013. During his four years at CAL, Miguel worked at The Chicanx/Latinx Student Development Center and was an active board member of Y-QUE! (Young Queers United for Empowerment). One of his proudest moments was studying and traveling a year abroad in Rome, Italy. Miguel loves being part of such an inspiring, hard-working and talented group of leaders.
