Director of Communications

Tomás Prower

Tomás Prower joined the staff of The Center in March of 2022, arriving from his native Los Angeles where he worked for over a decade as a Director of Communications & Brand Strategy in the cosmopolitan city’s bustling marketing industry. Tomás also brings with him a solid background in non-profit expertise, having not only been the Youth Programming Director for LGBTQ+ conventions in L.A., but also the former External Relations Director of the American Red Cross of Nevada where he focused on emergency, disaster, and preparedness communications for the peoples of Reno, Las Vegas, and the rural communities throughout the Nevada desert. He is a graduate of the University of California: Santa Barbara with a BA in Global Socioeconomics, though he credits his time living and working in South America (Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and the Peruvian Amazon) as a Multicultural & Diversity Analyst for the French Government to be his most educational and eye-opening experience that has shaped his professional and personal life ever since. When not working, you can find Tomás out hiking the desert trails, listening to heavy metal music while playing air guitar, and watching Akira Kurosawa movies on repeat.
