Living in Southern California for 30+ years, Roger Estrada was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from Texas State University with a BFA in Graphic Design, he decided to heed the call to ‘Go West’ in pursuit of an artistic career in the entertainment industry. With steadfast determination and hard work, he became a creative leader and executive heading up marketing, creative and product development divisions at Hanna-Barbera, Sony Entertainment, NBCUniversal, Sesame Workshop, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and DreamWorks Animation. About two years ago Roger and his husband Patrick, decided to make their vacation getaway in Palm Springs their permanent residence.

Fully aware that his good fortunes can also be attributed to many others who helped him along the way, Roger is resolute in continuing that legacy by paying it forward with the same mentorship and guidance he received and continues to receive over the last several decades of his life. In addition to volunteering for The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, Roger has a long history of volunteer work with other worthwhile organizations such as The Los Angeles LGBT Center, Project Angel Food, FIDM/Los Angeles, APLA Health and ADAAP in Austin, Texas.

With an emphasis on communications to consumers via marketing strategies, art direction and brand development, Roger has proven himself to be an accomplished leader, directing and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a high level of motivation and morale with effective and significant results.

“Some of my most rewarding accomplishments at work come from generating and fueling the most unique and innovative creative ideas, and then shepherding them to their final incarnation as a tangible and memorable experience.”

In his free time Roger enjoys weight training, cycling, and spending as much free time as possible with his husband and two Westies, Chico, and Gracie Lou.
