Great Outdoors Palm Springs (GOPS) is a chapter of California Great Outdoors, Inc., a 501(C)7 not for profit, all-volunteer LGBTQA+ organization dedicated to the enjoyment of outdoor recreation. GOPS serves the entire Coachella Valley not just Palm Springs with over 300 members, and one of five chapters covering most of the Southern California region which has more than 500 members. This organization activities include weekend camping trips, day hiking, backpacking, 4×4 off-road trips, social gatherings, pool parties, game nights and other interesting events.

About this presentation:

Discover some of the best hikes located in and near the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains. Popular trails as well as less traveled trails will be featured. Learn about the flora, fauna and unique geological features found along the way. Historical and early mining points of interest will also be included. This PowerPoint presentation will feature some of the remarkable and most interesting trails.

We will welcome participants to share some of their outdoor experiences. Identify outdoor resources available to visit and explore. Inspire us to appreciate living in a community with some of the best natural resources at our disposal.
