Manuel (Manny) Diaz is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee who earned his PhD in education. He served several years directing two LGBTQ+ college resource centers and has clinical and professional experience working with students and clients of diverse gender and sexual identities. He is also a college professor teaching courses in gender and sexuality, LGBTQ+ studies and queer theory, men and masculinities, and ethnic studies and incorporates elements of these concepts into his clinical work using an intersectional framework. He is also pursuing a second doctorate in clinical sexology and will deliver sex and couples counseling to LGBTQ+ clients. He is bilingual and is available to offer counseling services in Spanish and uses concepts of affirmative, experiential, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapies among relevant others. Providing clients with a safe and brave space to explore their concerns and identities is a priority to him. Lastly, he is a proud dog-dad to two small dogs, a Yorkie and a Chihuahua.
