Andrea Swartz is currently attending Alliant International University, where she is pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Counseling with the goal of becoming a licensed therapist. She graduated from UC San Diego in 2021, earning a BA in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science. Andrea’s passion for mental health destigmatization is deeply intertwined with her advocacy for the LGBTQIA2S+ community and her efforts to promote body inclusivity awareness. Andrea has worked for over five years in mental healthcare administration, where she gained valuable insights and experience. This professional background, combined with her academic achievements, propelled her to further her education in graduate school with the goal of becoming a therapist.
 
Andrea’s commitment to mental healthcare is driven by a profound desire to improve societal stigmas surrounding mental illness. Having grown up in the Coachella Valley she aims to create a more inclusive and understanding world, where individuals from all backgrounds feel supported and accepted. Through her work and studies, Andrea strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and to advocate for a society that embraces diversity and inclusivity.
