Áres Silvestre, pronouns él/he/him, was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, México and has now lived most of his life in the Coachella Valley. He was previously undocumented in his early years and was a foster youth until living in the Valley. Áres is passionate about his work highlighting and supporting the queer community of the East Valley with the goal to empower and to grow. He is extremely proud of The Center Coachella becoming a reality. Áres is here to help uplift and program all sorts of spaces for youth and community with great love, focusing on the East Coachella Valley. Áres loves watching The Office and in his free time talks to his cat in a high-pitched baby-voice. His cat’s name is Coca-Cola Jones and she’s super cute.
