Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit? Have you ever wanted to improve your knitting skills? Meet new people, make new friends, and learn a skill that can help you with calming focus.
Come join us for a beginner and intermediate knitting class. Learn how to knit in a new group session at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert taught by Douglas Morris.
The beginner knitting group will have you knitting in the first hour of class. Over subsequent lessons, you will learn how to knit forwards, backwards, and in the round. Then you will make a beanie teaching you how to make, shape and size a garment. From there we will select a larger project together to teach you additional skills and inspire you to continue knitting beyond the class sessions. If you already understand the basics of knitting but would like to advance your skills, please let us know what you would like to learn when filling out the registration page for the class.
Initial supplies will be provided at no additional cost complements of The Perfect Purl
NOTE: Events and programs are offered in English unless otherwise stated.
