Literature and the Creative Writing Process

November 30, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$100 – $120

Click to register (required, limited capacity of 15 people)

About The Event

This is a 10 week course where participants will use all types of writing – short stories, poetry, screenplays, essays – as springboards to create their own works. Initially, we will discuss the 5 basic elements of good writing and the very necessary punctuation which is vital to good communication. Participants will share their work – volunteers only – and are encouraged to work collaboratively while discussing literature. These literature forums will generate ideas and provide a different insight into the works being studied.

Facilitator

Anthony (Tony) Mosca has a B.A. in History with a minor in English. He has a New York City license to teach high school English and has taught HS – Literature and Creative Writing – for 30 years. As an adjunct professor, he has taught “Write-On” – a course developed by him which guided teachers in the art of teaching creative writing.
