Position Title: Pre-licensed Clinical Trainee (Associate Level)
Reports to: Chief Behavioral Health Officer
Classification: Part-time up to 32 hours weekly
Term: Ongoing
Compensation: $22-$26 per hour, commensurate with experience
Location: Palm Springs
POSITION SUMMARY:
The pre-licensed clinical trainee will meet with clients in individual, couples, and family settings providing low-cost counseling based on a sliding-scale model. This position also requires connecting clients to community resources best serving their needs. Weekly individual and group supervision is required. Group facilitation/co-facilitation is also encouraged. We are a clinical training/internship site where clinicians work to accrue the necessary hours towards licensure.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Providing psychological services in person and/or virtually.
• Daily/weekly documentation of client sessions.
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.
• Participating in training, supervision, and meetings.
• Maintain appropriate board number (associate-level clinicians) and liability insurance
coverage up to date.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
• Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or related field
with accompanying associate’s number.
• Experience and extensive knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community.
• Comfortable using a computer, EHR, and Microsoft Suite for various tasks.
• Attendance and participation at weekly 2-hour group supervision every Wednesday from
4:00-6:00pm.
• 1-hour weekly supervision with direct supervisor.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
