Robbin Burr
She/Her

Robbin Burr’s career is defined by groundbreaking leadership, community advocacy, and a longstanding commitment to advancing LGBTQ equality.

In the early part of her career, she co-founded the American Airlines Rainbow TeAAm, one of the first Fortune 100 marketing initiatives directed to the LGBTQ community. Her work there led to her recruitment as the first Executive Director of Chicago’s Center on Halsted, where she helped guide a major capital campaign to build one of the largest LGBTQ centers in the country.

Throughout her career, Burr has also provided national leadership, serving as co-chair of the Boards of Directors for two prominent LGBTQ organizations: Lambda Legal and Centerlink.

She later served as a Diversity and Inclusion leader at Prudential Advisors. After retiring and relocating to the Coachella Valley, Burr provided pro-bono consulting to The L-Fund, eventually becoming Board Co-Chair and helping lead the organization’s merger with the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert. She continues her service to the LGBTQ community as a member of the Center’s Board of Directors.

Burr and her wife Lisa, who is a locally based award winning artist, are enjoying desert life and the wonderful community of friends they have found here.
