We believe by shining a light on humanity through theater and other artistic expressions we can create a deeper understanding of our common struggles, triumphs, joys, and love within the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Bent, on the cusp of its milestone 5th season believes that if the LGBTQ+ community remains a political target, its purpose is more important than ever. The Bent is here as a haven where we can boldly tell our queer stories, laugh, cry, feel sexy, express our fears, examine our shortcomings and accomplishments, heal and grow. As one of only a few theater companies in California exclusively telling these stories, The Bent is here for our community in the Coachella Valley and beyond. And as founders Terry Ray and Steven Rosenbaum like to say—The Bent is just getting started!
