David Salinas joins The Center with 20 plus years of senior strategic leadership focus in sponsor-donor support development and marketing, having generated major revenue streams through creating/driving brand awareness strategies, radicalizing experiential marketing, and crafting transformative partnerships. 

For the past 11 years David was the Senior Director of Events and Marketing for the GENYOUth Foundation out of New York – a nationally recognized youth wellness organization with a mission centered in creating healthy school communities by empowering students and providing the resources for youth to build healthy, high-achieving futures. David spearheaded GENYOUth’s marketing, events and development efforts and was the executive producer of GENYOUth’s Taste of the NFL, an annual charitable fundraising event of the NFL’s Super Bowl weekend. David also produced GENYOUth’s annual Gala, the organization’s most important fundraiser of the year.  Prior to GENYOUth, David managed the account marketing team for a promotional-communications agency in Chicago for 14 years creating and field-activating marketing campaigns for consumer-packaged goods.

David’s humble but well-disciplined beginnings have been the platform from which he has achieved success both academically and in multiple major career accomplishments. In his spare time, he likes to golf, dance and loves to cook. Plus, he and his husband are proud ‘pup-Dads’ to little Hunter and Scout (both rescues from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter). David brings empathy to his work as his life experiences mirror those of many whom The Center serves.
